WELCOME

fond1-1.jpg

As urban density increases and the cost of land increases, fewer parks or open spaces are available for the public to enjoy.  The Fond Land Preservation Foundation was created in 2004 from a generous gift of Rosemary Ann Fond to acquire, preserve and maintain one or more parks or open spaces in the County of Los Angeles or the County of Ventura for the use and enjoyment of the general public.  Land acquired by the Foundation is to be named in honor of our benefactor, Rosemary Ann Fond and her father, Charles Fond.  As the Foundation acquires land, it is

opened to the public for hiking, bicycling and equestrian trail riding during the daylight hours.  The Foundation is continually seeking additional parcels which meet our criteria so as to be suitable to provide public recreation while enjoying the natural beauty of the area and cost effective for the Foundation to maintain.
